Since 1979, the John Payne Music Center has been dedicated to providing high-quality music instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. Our team of patient and experienced teachers offers private music lessons, ensembles, and online lessons with flexible scheduling to accommodate our students' busy lives.
Our Approach
At the John Payne Music Center, we believe that music should be accessible to everyone. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced musician, our teachers will work with you to tailor a lesson plan that suits your needs and goals. We understand that our students have diverse musical interests and abilities, so we offer lessons in a wide range of instruments, including piano, guitar, saxophone, flute, clarinet, recorder, ukulele, bass, trumpet, trombone, French horn, violin, drums, percussion, voice, and vibraphone.
Our Teachers
Our team of teachers is comprised of qualified musicians with extensive performing and teaching experience. Many of our teachers have performed with renowned artists, such as Van Morrison and Bonnie Raitt. Our teachers are not only skilled musicians but also passionate educators who are committed to helping their students achieve their musical goals.
Online Lessons
In addition to our in-person lessons, we also offer online lessons, which have become increasingly popular due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our online lessons provide students with the convenience of learning from the comfort of their own homes, while still receiving personalized instruction from our expert teachers.
Ensembles
We understand that the gap between practicing alone and playing with a group can be a challenging one to bridge. That's why we've developed an ensemble program with 15 different small groups at different skill levels, playing a variety of styles, including Jazz, rock, R&B, pop, and Latin. Our ensembles provide students with the opportunity to develop their teamwork and communication skills while performing with their peers.
