Sharing Music, Introducing Your Child to the World of Music
The Brookline Music School, established in 1924, is a nonprofit organization that has been dedicated to providing excellence in music education to the Greater Boston community. Our mission is to share the joy of music with people of all ages and abilities, and to make music education accessible to everyone.
At the Brookline Music School, we offer a wide range of music programs and services, including private lessons, group classes, workshops, and ensembles. Our experienced faculty is comprised of professional musicians and educators who are dedicated to helping students of all ages and skill levels achieve their musical goals.
Our private lesson program offers students the opportunity to study with our expert instructors in a one-on-one setting. We offer instruction in a variety of instruments, including piano, harpsichord, accordion, strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Our instructors are experienced educators who are trained to tailor their teaching to meet the individual needs and goals of each student.
In addition to private lessons, we offer group classes and ensembles for students of all ages. Our group classes provide a fun and supportive environment for students to learn and grow together. We offer classes for young children, including music play groups for newborns to three-year-olds, and group classes for older children and adults. Our ensembles include choir, jazz ensemble, and classical orchestra, among others.
We also offer workshops and masterclasses, which provide students with the opportunity to learn from guest artists and educators. Our workshops and masterclasses cover a wide range of topics, from specific technique to music theory and composition.
At the Brookline Music School, we believe that music education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, skill level, or financial means. That's why we offer scholarships and financial assistance to students who may not be able to afford music lessons or classes on their own.
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of our donors and supporters to continue providing music education to the community. Your support allows us to keep our programs affordable and accessible, and to continue our mission to share the joy of music with everyone.
