Born in South Korea, Hye-Yun began her musical journey at a young age, earning a Bachelor's degree from Ewha Womans University, a Master's degree from California State University, and a Professional Study Plan from Juilliard School. Her impressive academic background sets the stage for her illustrious career, which has taken her from Carnegie Recital Hall to esteemed concert halls in Europe, Japan, and the United States.

Performances and Collaborations

Throughout her illustrious career, Hye-Yun has performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras, collaborated with renowned artists, and premiered numerous compositions. Her performances have been featured on recordings by Klavier International Records Co., Centaur Record Company, and Musical Heritage Society. Some notable collaborations include appearances with Wayne Hedrick on flute and Dr. Byong Kon Kim.

Teaching and Mentorship

In addition to her performances, Hye-Yun is an accomplished teacher and mentor. She has served as an adjunct professor at Old Dominion University and Tidewater Community College, sharing her expertise with the next generation of musicians. Her passion for teaching has also led her to serve as a judge for national competitions and adjudicator for piano competitions.
