At String Presence Academy, we believe that music has the power to bring people together, foster a sense of community, and enrich our lives. As a Suzuki violin teacher, I, Megan Jenifer-Harris, have dedicated myself to providing exceptional music education to students of all ages and skill levels.

Our mission is to use the universal language of music to touch, heal, and nurture humanity. We believe that music has the power to bring people together, foster a sense of community, and enrich our lives. We are committed to perpetuating the values of love, compassion, patience, respect, consideration, and giving in the community through our primary avenues of music education and service.

Our Services

At String Presence Academy, we offer a range of services to cater to the musical needs of our students. Our primary services include:

Private Violin/Viola/Cello Lessons

We offer private lessons for students aged three and above, using the Suzuki methodology. Our expert instructors will work with your child to develop their musical skills and foster a love for music.

Group Instruction

In addition to private lessons, we also offer group instruction to provide a sense of camaraderie and ensemble experience. This is essential for developing a healthy self-perception and encouraging students to work together towards a common goal.

Tutoring Services

We understand that every student learns at their own pace, and some students may need additional support or review in specific areas. Our tutoring services provide students with one-on-one attention and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

About Our Studio

String Presence Academy is located in Hampton Roads, Virginia, and has been serving families throughout the area since 2002. We are committed to the Suzuki philosophy of education and believe that every child can learn to play the violin. Our studio is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and is open by appointment only.

About Our Instructor

I, Megan Jenifer-Harris, have over 20 years of experience in the music industry. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Engineering Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from Hampton University. I am a registered Suzuki Violin instructor with the Suzuki Association of the Americas and have taught hundreds of beginning violin and viola students.
