Our Vision

Our vision is a world where everyone, regardless of social status, creed, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or placement in the gender spectrum, has equal access to high-quality creative music performances, performers, composers, and teachers. We believe that music has the power to break down barriers and bring people together, and we strive to make this vision a reality through our programs and events.

Our Programs

At ACM, we produce a variety of programs and events that showcase the work of living composers and musicians. These programs include our iconic Sound of Silent Film Festival, which features newly commissioned scores performed live to modern silent films from around the world. We also produce the Thirsty Ears Festival, a celebration of new music and poetry. Our Meditative Mondays series combines guided meditations with performances of new classical music, while our Schools of Music offer classes in musical creativity and composition for students of all ages.

Our History

ACM was founded in 2004 by composer Seth Boustead. Since then, we have grown from a small organization to a leading advocate for new music and contemporary classical music. Over the years, we have produced numerous events, collaborations, and programs that have showcased the work of living composers and musicians. Our programs and events have been praised for their innovation, creativity, and ability to bring people together.
