As a passionate musician, I have always believed that music has the power to bring people together and transcend boundaries. It's this conviction that has driven me to create music that is both personal and universal.

Growing up, I was influenced by a wide range of musical styles, from rock to jazz and classical. These diverse influences have shaped my approach to music and inspired me to create a unique sound that combines elements of fusion, jazz, and rock.

My musical journey began at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where I studied jazz composition and performance. It was during this time that I developed my skills as a guitarist and composer, and began to explore the boundaries of musical expression.

In the early 1980s, I formed the David Joel Quartet, which has undergone several changes in personnel over the years. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with some incredibly talented musicians, including Suzanna Sifter, Jim Whitney, John Mettam, Tony Deangelis, Jeff Knoettner, Scott Robinson, John Stenger, and Dan Monaghan, to name a few. These individuals have not only brought their own unique perspectives to the music but also shared their passion and dedication to the art of jazz.

Throughout my career, I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to perform and record with some of the best musicians in the world. My album, Spiral Sky, was released in 2020 and has received critical acclaim from music critics and jazz enthusiasts alike.
