St Francis Music Center

St. Francis Music Center is a community music school that has been serving the central Minnesota region since 1979. We are a sponsored ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, and we are proud to offer a wide range of programs and lessons in music, dance, and gymnastics for students of all ages and skill levels. Our mission is to bring music and the arts to the community, and we believe that everyone should have access to the joy and fulfillment that comes from learning and performing music.

Music Lessons for All

We offer private and group lessons for students of all ages in piano, organ, guitar, orchestral strings, voice, band instruments, preschool piano, and percussion. Our experienced and professional teachers are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction that is tailored to the unique needs and goals of each student. We understand that everyone learns at their own pace, and we strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment where students can grow and thrive.

Orchestra, Choir, Dance, and Gymnastics

In addition to our music lessons, we also offer classes in dance, gymnastics, theory, composition, and music therapy. We have three string orchestras and two chorales that are open to all, and we offer dance classes for students as young as three years old and gymnastics classes for students aged four and up. Our goal is to provide a well-rounded education in the performing arts that is accessible and affordable for everyone.

Financial Aid

We believe that financial limitations should not be a barrier to learning and performing music. That's why we offer financial aid to families with low incomes or special circumstances. Our financial aid program is funded through grants from the Laura Jane Musser Fund, the Minnesota State Arts Board, Pine Country Bank, the Mille Lac Band of Ojibwe, the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, and many private donations. Financial aid pays half of the tuition costs, and we are committed to helping as many students as possible.
