At The Music Center, we believe that music is a powerful tool that can bring people together, foster creativity, and provide a means of expression that transcends words. Our mission is to build community through music, and we achieve this by offering a wide range of programs and services designed for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
Our programs include the Community Music School, which offers private lessons, group classes, and ensembles for students of all skill levels. The Battle Creek Symphony, Michigan's oldest orchestra, is also a key part of our offerings, providing both traditional and innovative programming that appeals to a diverse audience. Additionally, we have several choirs and vocal groups, including the Impact and Sojourner Truth Choir, the Battle Creek Boychoir and Battle Creek Girls Chorus, and the Battle Creek Community Chorus and Ars Voce.

Our History
The Music Center was founded with the goal of providing a comprehensive music education program for the residents of Battle Creek and surrounding communities. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our offerings to include a wide range of programs and services designed to meet the needs of individuals of all ages and skill levels. Today, we are proud to be one of the leading music education and performance organizations in South Central Michigan.

Our staff and faculty are comprised of highly qualified music educators and performers who are dedicated to helping our students achieve their full potential. Many of our instructors have advanced degrees in music and years of teaching and performing experience.
