We are thrilled to introduce you to Draa Hobbs, a renowned guitarist, performer, and educator based in Southern Vermont. With a rich musical legacy that spans decades, Draa has had the privilege of studying under jazz guitar legends such as Attila Zoller, Jimmy Raney, Gene Bertoncini, and Peter Leitch. His extensive performance credits include sharing the stage with luminaries like Pat Metheny, Jim Hall, John Abercrombie, and Peter Bernstein, among many others.

Teaching and Education

As a sought-after educator, Draa Hobbs is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of jazz musicians. He has taught at the Vermont Jazz Center, where he leads Ensemble classes and workshops. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of developing a strong technical foundation, as well as fostering a deep understanding of jazz history and musicality. With a patient and supportive approach, Draa has helped numerous students of all levels achieve their musical goals.

Performance and Recording

Throughout his illustrious career, Draa has performed in various settings, including clubs, concerts, and radio broadcasts. He has also released several recordings, including the critically acclaimed "Message To Attila" with pianist Eugene Uman on the German label ENJA.
