At Junior Music Academy Kona, we believe that music education is essential for children of all ages. Our expert teachers and unique approach to music education have been providing innovative and fun music classes to Kona's keiki for over 25 years.

Our Philosophy

We believe that young music makers need to be given the freedom to create their own music from the very beginning. Our instructors use improvisation as a learning tool, allowing children as young as 4 to begin composing their own songs, even writing them down. This approach not only fosters creativity and creativity but also helps children develop essential skills such as reading music and playing by ear.

Our Services

At Junior Music Academy Kona, we offer a wide range of music education services for children of all ages, from infants to 5th graders. Our classes are designed to cater to different age groups, including infants and toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school students.

Infants-2 Years

For our youngest students, we focus on developing a sense of rhythm, pitch matching, and active listening through singing, dancing, and playing instruments. Our infant classes are a wonderful way to bond with your little one through music and movement.

Ages 3-5

Our "Pre-Piano, Singing, and Creative Movement" class is designed for preschool-age children. We use theme-based lessons to engage our students in imaginative play and exploration. Our classes are theme-driven, and students learn to create their own sound effects and sing simple songs on the keyboard.

Ages 4-10

For our older preschoolers and elementary school students, we offer a range of classes that cater to their age group. Our Junior Course uses the Very Young Pianist method and our unique Junior Music Academy curriculum to teach piano, singing, and creative movement. Our Intermediate and Senior Courses are designed for older beginners, focusing on advanced piano skills, singing, and instrumental playing.
