Welcome to Piano Studio "Rich in Art", a comprehensive piano lessons program founded by renowned master teacher, Rufina Gorin. With a rich teaching experience spanning multiple decades, Mrs. Gorin has established a reputation for delivering high-quality piano instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. As a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM), Mrs. Gorin brings a wealth of expertise and passion to her teaching methods, fostering a supportive and innovative learning environment that cultivates creativity, technique, and artistic expression.
Our Approach
At Piano Studio "Rich in Art", our primary objective is to provide students with a holistic piano education that encompasses technical mastery, musicality, and emotional connection. Mrs. Gorin's approach is grounded in a deep understanding of pedagogy, pedagogical theories, and her own extensive performance background. She draws inspiration from the teachings of leading pedagogy methods, including T. Leschetizky, A. Schnabel, and G. Neigauz, as well as from renowned pianists and educators such as Frances Clark, Richard Chronister, and others. Mrs. Gorin's interest lies in empowering students with the skills and tools to create beautiful music, interpret composer's intent, and cultivate a lifelong passion for music.
Student Accomplishments
Mrs. Gorin's students have achieved outstanding success in various competitions and events, including prize winners at the US Open Music International Competition, Junior Bach Festivals, and local and regional competitions. Many of her students have received top scores in national auditions, certified in the California Certificate of Merit Program, and performed at Music Teacher's Association Conventions. Our studio is committed to providing a supportive environment that fosters growth, achievement, and a lifelong love for music.

Education
Mrs. Gorin's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from Kiev Music College, Ukraine (1968) and a Master's degree in Piano Performance and Choral Conducting from Kiev Pedagogical Division, Ukraine (1976). Her academic pursuits have been extensively influenced by renowned pedagogues, pianists, and conductors, including Dr. Samuel Gindin, Dr. Alexandra Ostrovskay, and Dr. Lydia Shure.
