Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
At Monteverdi Music School, we are committed to providing a safe space and a diverse, inclusive environment for all students. We recognize that the land the school is on is the traditional land of the Western Abenaki people, who came before us. We honor with gratitude the land itself and these indigenous people.
We provide equal access to musical opportunities and resources, and welcome students of any race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, national or ethnic origin, or age, including transgender and gender-nonconforming people. We believe that music is a powerful tool to empower students with self-respect, self-confidence, and personal creativity. We recognize that our efforts will be on-going and evolving, as we continue to learn, grow, collaborate, and work for an equitable future.
