The Bay Head School of Ballet & Violin is a establishment dedicated to the study, appreciation, and enjoyment of classical ballet and music. Nestled in the charming seashore town of Bay Head, New Jersey, our school is located in a 100-year-old Victorian residence that exudes old-world charm and elegance. We welcome new students all year round and offer a free trial class for those interested in experiencing our unique and enriching environment.

Since 1996, we have been serving the communities of Bay Head, Point Pleasant Beach, Point Pleasant, Brick, Toms River, Mantoloking, Lavalette, Brielle, Manasquan, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Wall, and the surrounding areas of Ocean and Monmouth Counties. Our school is committed to providing a strong foundation in classical ballet and music that is unparalleled in the region.

Our Services

Our Facility

Our school is located in a stunning 100-year-old Victorian house that has been partially transformed into a dance studio. Decorated in an 1800's style, our facility carries visitors back in time and adds to the magic of the fine arts experience. Our dance studio features state-of-the-art equipment, including ballet barres, mirrors, and a professional-grade sound system.

Our Director

Bonnie A. Behrman, the founder and director of the Bay Head School of Ballet & Violin, is a lifelong student of music and dance. Her love for the classical forms of both arts inspired her to share her knowledge and passion with others. Behrman has an impressive background in dance and music, having studied with renowned dancers and musicians in New York City and Europe. She has performed in numerous productions and has choreographed for her own dance company, the Ionic Dance Company.

Behrman's vision for the Bay Head School of Ballet & Violin is to provide a unique and wonderful environment for its students and the community. She has created a space where students can learn, grow, and develop their skills in classical ballet and music, all while experiencing the magic and beauty of the fine arts.
